Maison Vouette handbags are made of the finest quality leather, sustainably and ethically developed from start to finish from highest quality tanneries. Maison Vouette’s leather is upcycled from the food industry. As in industry practice this prevents hundreds of tons waste each year and makes efficient use of materials that would otherwise go to waste. Each Maison Vouette handbag’s leather is paired with the visibility window that is made from a recycled material called TPU.This TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane made of recycled and bio-based materials. Our transparent recycled material is highly wear resistant and is an excellent ward against handbag wear and tear from daily surface abrasion and scratches as well as stains from oil and grease. Our goal is to preserve and protect beautiful things to prolong their life and enjoyment.

Sustainability is very important to Maison Vouette. All of our material choices and manufacturing partners are committed to sustainability and recycling best practices.  Partners hold certified accreditations and testing through unbiased third parties. Member associations, standards and certifications include compliance with Global Recycled Standards (GRS), Leather Working Group, ICEC, OEKO TEX, CSCB, and the Sustainable Leather Foundation.  

Your Maison Vouette handbag can be cared for by wiping with a slightly damp cloth on all parts of the bag. The leather on your handbag is treated to protect against water and staining, if you would like to care for the leather areas please apply a high-quality leather cream to leather straps and base as needed. Please follow leather cream guidance for frequency of use. For transparent areas please use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the transparent surfaces.Please avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as they may scratch or damage the TPU. For stubborn stains, mix a mild soap with water and gently clean the affected area.

If you would like to carry a handbag within your Maison Veoutte handbag please measure the base and height of the handbag that you wish to carry.  We recommend 10-12 inch base handbags use the medium bag and 13-15 inch use the large size. We accommodate additional room for essential items within this recommendation.

We offer the option for gift wrap for a small additional fee. Please add this request to your Maison Vouette purchase.
